We commissioned Hackney artist Dan Quirke to use his trademark style to paint a lobster for us.
His painting captured all the varying colours and patterns of our Welsh lobsters and put them together in one lobster. These colours in turn reflect the clear waters and the rocks of the Llyn peninsula.
Dan is known for his bird paintings, which can be seen on instagram @daniel.a.quirke. His style is exquisitely detailed, almost photoreal, set in a modern composition. A beautiful and ‘quirky’ tribute to one of Britain’s more mysterious native creatures.
